Session Isolation
The kiosk runs on its own signed cookie — completely separate from the GM's login. Employees can't navigate to the schedule, the team list, or settings. Leave the store computer on the kiosk all day without a second thought.
Late Is Not No-Show
An employee who clocks in five minutes before their shift ends is late — not absent. The kiosk displays a real-time 'Late' badge for employees past their start time. No-Show is only set after the shift fully ends with no clock-in ever.
Break-to-Clock-Out in One Visit
After ending a break, the Clock Out button appears immediately — no second PIN entry. The common end-of-shift flow (End Break → Clock Out) is two taps, one PIN.
Configurable Sessions
Set the kiosk session to auto-expire after 8, 12, 18, 24, or 48 hours — or use 'Keep open' for 24/7 stores. Kill all active sessions instantly from Settings if a device is lost or a PIN is compromised.
Feeds Directly Into Reports
Every clock-in, clock-out, and break is recorded in the same attendance tables as the mobile app. Hours Worked and Hours Breakdown reports reflect kiosk data automatically.
Two-Layer PIN Security
The store Kiosk PIN (6+ digits, no simple patterns) unlocks the session. Each employee then uses their personal Employee ID to identify themselves. Managers set both — employees never see the store-level PIN.
